Geneseo Central School District
SEI Design Group assisted the Geneseo Central School District with a 2020 BCS and pre-referendum services, which resulted in a passing vote on January 26, 2021. The project will focus on Performing Arts, STEAM, and Athletics/Student Wellness.
The Performing Arts component will incorporate upgrades to the Auditorium, including LED lights and a new sound board, relocation of the orchestra room to the band room to allow room for fly space on the stage.
The STEAM components will consist of a Large Group Instruction (LGI) area that will have space for students to learn about project based hands-on learning opportunities. This will be a flexible space to grow and change with the developing STEAM program. This space will allow us to teach students the benefits of sustainable and renewable energy.

The Athletic/Student Wellness portion of the project will include renovation of the small gym and relocating it to the main floor to create better access for elementary students. It will also hold JV competitions and have seating capacity for approximately 200 people. An artificial turf field will also be installed to allow physical education classes to go outside earlier in the spring.
The Capital Project will include an Energy Performance Contract (EPC) to fund energy saving building improvements, including all new LED lighting and modern building controls across the District.
