Unique challenges for this project included building directly next to an existing structure, anti-ligature design solutions, obtaining zoning amendments from the City of Rochester Planning Commission, and ongoing coordination of design and construction with the other building’s Owner, Architect, and Construction teams.
The total project budget of $10 million included construction, site development and incidental costs (contingencies, professional fees, FF&E, etc.).
The new facility opened on June 18, 2020 with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. It provides the greater Rochester community a new, critically needed home for child and adolescent behavioral health services.
