SEI’s Canned Pie (Canstruction Build Day)!
November 10, 2008After the much planned and anticipated Canstruction Build Day, the results of the SEI team build are in below. As always, you can click to enlarge the photos. Judging is today, but results will not be announced until the award dinner on Friday. Wonder how many calories in that piece of lemon meringue pie?

This was are first time out and I think it went great and the results speak for them selves. We are still looking for donations to cover the cost of cans, that will go to Food Link’s kitchens, if anyone wants to give. We are still over $1000 short. We will be doing this next year too.. Brian is hooked, despite wanting to tear down and start over 3 hours into the build…
Thanks to everyone who participated, donated and supported CANstruction. It was a very rewarding event, with all of our cans going to Foodlink, it really was a win/win/win situation. Wish us luck Friday at the Awards Banquet.
BTW, To any other teams out there the press n’ seal you see DOES NOT WORK!

Well, this event and this team deserve my first “comment” on the blog (Bari will be SOOOOO HAPPY!!!). I’ve said it privately, but want to say it for all to read…….THANK YOU to our CANstruction Team. What a great first-out-of-the-box showing for SEI. Eric, thanks for taking the lead on this. You all showed great perserverance, keeping up with routine planning meetings, shopping for just the right cans. Whether we “win” anything or not……. you guys (and gals) already won. What a great job, and a great cause. Thank you for continuing to represent SEI so well. What an AWESOME group we have!
