Voters in  Canton Central School District approved Proposition #1 and Proposition #2 last night.

This project includes replacement/repair of the current heating system, extensive infrastructure, site repairs and safety items.  Necessary HVAC work should be started this summer.

Congratulations to Lansingburgh CSD on their $18.5M project bond vote, approved by district voters on December 7, 2010.  The scope of work involves high school athletic field upgrades, including an artificial turf football field, instructional technology improvements, and infrastructure improvements.

SEI Design Group is pleased to welcome Saranac Central School District as our newest client.  As the architect for the project, we are working on a district-wide master plan, and performing an energy audit and technology evaluation in preparation of an upcoming Energy Project and building project.

By a vote of 250 to 164, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the 21st Century Green High-Performing Public Schools Facilities Act earlier this month. The bill calls for $6.4 billion in funding for school renovation and modernization in fiscal 2009.  If enacted, it would require that the majority of funds allocated for school modernization be used on projects that meet widely recognized green building standards.   President Bush has indicated that he will veto the bill if it passes the Senate.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest client, Rochester City School District.  SEI is providing architectural/ engineering services for a renovation project at Virgil I. Grissom School No. 7.

SEI was at the NYSCOSS conference at the Desmond.  It was great to see clients and friends.  Thanks to Theresa & Pauline, and Jinny & Armand for helping to make it possible.

Voters in Heuvelton Central School District approved their Capital Construction Project.  SEI is the architect for this K-12 project which includes major renovations to the Elementary School, High School, and bus garage.  Technology upgrades include: theater for video conferencing, wireless capability, computer workstations in classrooms, High School Computer Lab renovation, VoIP telephone system, smart boards/projectors/interwrite tablets/LCDs, network hardware, cabling, network security and video distribution.

SEI Design Group’s team was selected by the Joint Schools Construction Board for architectural/ engineering services for the renovation of H. W. Smith Pre-K-8 School in Syracuse, NY.  We are excited to continue to work for the City of Syracuse and Syracuse City School District.

Voters in  Marcus Whitman Central School District approved their EXCEL project.  SEI is working with the district on this $4.1M Capital Improvement Project that addresses technology (including smart boards and phone system), science room renovations and assorted infrastructure upgrades.

Voters in  Lyndonville Central School District approved their EXCEL project tonight.  SEI is working with the district on this $9.9M Capital Improvement Project that addresses health and safety, security, technology and infrastructure upgrades.
